Founded by two critical care nurses, Heart Medical Solutions was built on the principle of putting healthcare professionals (HCPs) first. We combine our extensive nursing experience with the need for high-quality staffing. This unique blend of firsthand clinical insight and professional networking allows us to deliver on our promise, ensuring that healthcare facilities are supported by HCPs who truly understand the complexities and challenges of the field.

Brett Rickord

Brett, a native of Sioux City, IA, graduated from Iowa State University in 2016 with degrees in kinesiology and psychology. His innate passion for helping others and engaging with people led him to the nursing profession. In pursuit of this calling, Brett completed a one-year accelerated BSN program at Creighton University, graduating summa cum laude in 2019.

In the spring of 2020, as the world faced the unprecedented challenge of the COVID-19 pandemic, Brett began his career as a critical care nurse at MercyOne Siouxland Medical Center. On the front lines in the ICU, he provided vital care to those in need, showcasing his dedication and compassion. His efforts were recognized with two Daisy Awards, a testament to his commitment to excellence in patient care.

Driven by a desire to make a broader impact and elevate the standard of personalized care in healthcare, Brett co-founded Heart Medical Solutions.

Ismael Carabante

Originally from El Salvador, Ismael immigrated to the United States as a young child. His healthcare journey began at the grassroots level, starting as a certified nursing assistant (CNA) and later working as a phlebotomist. With firsthand experience of the challenges faced by healthcare workers, Ismael developed a deep understanding of what it takes to provide compassionate care.

Driven by his passion for healthcare, Ismael pursued further education and became a nurse. With extensive experience in both ICU and long-term care, he has dedicated his career to improving patient outcomes and advocating for the well-being of healthcare professionals.

This commitment led him to co-found Heart Medical Solutions, with a vision to ensure that healthcare professionals receive the resources, support, and fair working conditions they need to excel in their roles and continue delivering exceptional care.
